Dear friends and colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to a joint meeting of the 5^th WADD World Congress and the 15th edition of the ALBATROS Congress which will take place in Paris beginning December 7th through December 9^th 2021.

The World Association on Dual Disorders (WADD) in conjunction with ALBATROS invite you to join us for this major event to discuss Dual Disorders, addictions and other mental disorders. The theme for this year’s congress is “When Dual Disorders challenge other disciplines”.

As the multiple and on-going challenges of 2021 unfold, we must continue to reflect on new strategies to overcome barriers. However, we have the firm determination and conviction that it will be possible to receive you all in person in Paris to celebrate the scientific sessions that constitute this joint meeting.

The most prominent opinion leaders in the scientific community will join us in an international environment including delegates from around 70 countries, to update us on the latest developments in research and clinical treatment of addictions and other concurrent mental and medical disorders.

The WADD and ALBATROS are committed to bringing scientific knowledge closer and improving care for patients suffering from dual disorders in every country. We aim to improve standards in training, education and clinical practice of psychiatrists, physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers and other professionals working in Dual Disorders.

We look forward to meeting you in Paris, host city of our Congress, where past and present merge creating an environment of tradition and trendiness characteristic of France’s capital.
