Dr. Michael Koslowski is a medical doctor and did his PhD in functional neuroimaging on the dopaminergic reward system at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin. He completed his residency in psychiatry at University hospitals in Berlin, Paris and Marseille. His clinical work as a resident psychiatrist and psychotherapist at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Charité Berlin is focused on outpatient treatment, liaison and emergency psychiatry, refugees with posttraumatic stress disorder, and psychodynamic therapy. Michaels research projects cover novel treatment approaches for depression and other mental disorders, including classical psychedelics like psilocybin, and recreational drug use. He also investigates the biological functions of dreaming, in collaboration with and funded by the International University of Psychoanalysis (IPU) Berlin, and is involved in research on machine learning-driven response prediction of therapies for depression.
