Marcus Munafò is Professor of Biological Psychology at the University of Bristol and and MRC Investigator in the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit. In 2022 he was appointed Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research Culture at the University of Bristol. His primary research focuses on pathways between health behaviours and physical and mental health outcomes, using a range of causal inference methods. He also has a long-standing interest in the factors that influence the quality and robustness of scientific research. In 2019 he co-founded the UK Reproducibility Network (www.ukrn.org), which now comprises 57 local networks of grassroots researchers and 22 institutional members, as well as an external stakeholder group comprising over 25 funders, publishers, learned societies and other sectoral organisations.
